In the video, Hilsenteger examines multiple dummy models, including the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the much-anticipated iPhone 17 Air. The moment he picks up the Air model, his reaction is one of visible shock, highlighting just how incredibly slim the device appears.
The iPhone 17 Air is shown in the video to be just 5.65mm thick, significantly thinner than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which measures around 8.75mm. While Apple has not officially confirmed the dimensions, the dummy model’s thin profile has already triggered a wave of speculation in the tech community.

Despite its striking design, Hilsenteger raises concerns about durability. He notes that the ultra-thin build could make the device feel fragile, suggesting that bending or breakage could be a real issue if Apple hasn’t reinforced the structure. “If Apple makes this sturdy, it will sell like hot cakes,” he says.
To achieve such a slim frame, Apple may have had to make some compromises. The Air model could potentially feature a smaller battery and might include only a single camera lens. Features typically reserved for the Pro and Pro Max variants could be absent or significantly downgraded in the Air version.
