A 24-year-old influencer from Taiwan known for her quirky videos featuring the consumption of beauty products has died unexpectedly, sparking widespread speculation online that her death may have been caused by poisoning or a heart attack.
Known on social media as Guava Beauty, the young creator had built a following of over 12,000 fans drawn to her sweet image and unusual “make-up mukbang” videos — content where she appeared to eat cosmetic items like lipstick, blush, and cotton pads.
In her videos, Guava Beauty would playfully apply and then consume products, often remarking on their taste. In one recent clip, she tested a jelly-like blush and said, “Let’s try it. It is crispy, kind of like agar jelly. Sorry, my friend, but it tastes terrible.”

On May 24, Guava Beauty’s profile bio was suddenly changed to: “Logging out from the world. Setting off on a new journey. All business collaborations are suspended.” The message sent shockwaves through her followers, who feared something was wrong.
Soon after, her family released a statement confirming her death. “It is with deep sorrow that we inform you that our treasured girl of beauty-product mukbangs, Guava Beauty, put down her brushes and flew off to start a new channel in heaven on May 24, 2025.”
