Turkey’s Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation after Grok allegedly produced insulting responses about:
✔ President Recep Tayyip Erdogan
✔ Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (founder of modern Turkey)
✔ Islamic religious values
A Turkish court swiftly approved a request to block access to Grok, and the country’s telecommunications authority is enforcing the ban.
Cyber law expert Yaman Akdeniz (Istanbul Bilgi University) confirmed that this is Turkey’s first ban on an AI tool, setting a precedent for future cases.
