TikTok user under federal investigation after threatening Elon Musk

Social media post sparks criminal probe

A TikTok user who openly admitted to evading taxes for nearly a decade is now under federal investigation after publicly calling for the assassination of Elon Musk. The individual, using the handle “saracroberts,” made the alarming remarks in a video that has since gained widespread attention.

Explicit threat raises alarms

In a direct and unambiguous statement, the TikTok user urged for Musk’s assassination, saying, “Elon Musk, we need to X him, and by ‘X him,’ I mean, formally known as assassination.”

Adding to the controversy, she boasted about failing to file taxes for the past eight years and suggested that the lack of any investigation into her tax history indicated she would also face no consequences for making violent threats against a White House employee.

“Arrest me. You don’t even have enough people to investigate me at this point. I haven’t filed my taxes in like eight years, and yet, no one has come for me. So I’m going to f—ing say it, let’s assassinate some motherf—ers,” she declared in the video.

Federal authorities take action

The situation escalated when U.S. Attorney for D.C., Ed Martin, responded to the incident on X (formerly Twitter), acknowledging the user’s remarks and confirming that the matter was under review.

“Duly noted. Thx for letting us know. We’ll put you in the system. Talk soon, Ma’am,” Martin wrote, using the hashtag #NoOneIsAboveTheLaw.

His response suggests that federal authorities are taking the threat seriously, with a formal investigation potentially underway. The case highlights the growing scrutiny over social media content and the legal consequences of making violent statements online.
