It was the couple’s first public outing together since December 2024, sparking excitement among fans and fellow diners.
The Obamas were seen leaving a private dining room and descending a staircase, captured on video by another guest at the upscale “California-style Italian” establishment. According to Page Six, restaurant patrons rose to their feet in applause as the couple made their way through the bustling venue.
The moment quickly went viral, with several onlookers reportedly heard exclaiming, “Oh my God,” as the pair passed by. Osteria Mozza opened in 2024 in the Georgetown neighborhood and has quickly become a go-to spot for the Obamas. Michelle Obama had previously hosted a Christmas dinner for her team of ten at the same restaurant last November. Barack was also seen dining there during a solo visit in January.
